KENT W. PETERSON, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Peterson is a nationally-recognized expert in preventive, occupational and environmental medicine. As Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of Examinetics, he helps develop state-of-the-art health testing, medical surveillance and health promotion programs for a nationwide mobile health testing company. He is also President of the consulting firm Occupational Health Strategies in Charlottesville, VA.
Previously, Dr. Peterson served as Manager of Preventive and Environmental Medicine at IBM worldwide. He has also been Corporate Medical Director at American Standard, and Executive Vice President of the American College of Preventive Medicine. He is board certified in both General Preventive Medicine and Occupational Medicine.
Dr. Peterson has served as president of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, founding Senior Vice President of the Institute for Health and Productivity Management, and Clinical Associate Professor of Occupational Medicine at New York University. He has authored/edited 12 books and more than 250 chapters, articles and scientific presentations.
In 2016 he received the ACOEM Centennial William Knudsen Lifetime Achievement in Occupational and Environmental Medicine award.
